Last year my sister and I traveled to Europe together.  The first day our luggage was lost but I made a quick call and we were reimbursed.  A week later our rental car was damaged and that, too was paid for.  My sister was beginning to think I was a magician when I explained that I always buy holiday insurance when I travel.  I told her that it is just part of common-sense vacation planning to assume that things will go wrong in transit.  I am not sure what impressed her more – the insurance policy or the go-anywhere wrinkle free clothes I had packed.
