My mom retired from her job as a county auditor last spring and I have seen her in such a state of decline ever since then that it has been just horrible to watch. I guess that she got kind of bored now that she has no job to go to every day, and I was hoping she was going to find some kind of hobby or even do some volunteer work or something like that. Instead, she told me that what really turned her around was the Ragdoll kittens she just purchased. They are so adorable, and I have never seen my mom this happy!
