Monday afternoon, while I was inattentively listening to the 4:00 radio news on my route back to my dormitory from work, I overheard a message that actually grabbed my complete attention. The political leaders in Virginia are proposing to put a ban on all payday advance financing now. As the reporter was revealing the story, I began to fume! The uninformed councilmen are accusing Payday Loan organizations for provoking financial complications for the destitute and they staunchly sense that payday loan advance recipients must be rescued. At that instant, I mumbled, that maybe they might also go after financial institutions that implement stupendous fees for hot checks, phone corporations who accumulate late charges and fees to re-connect service, and national charge card businesses that without warning impart higher interest rates.
