My step-mother still lives in the town where I grew up. Her birthday is coming up this month, and I need to purchase her gift. An old friend of mine from high school puts together gourmet gift baskets in her basement. She is a full time art student, and just does this on the side. It is so easy to just call up my friend, and have her make one up for my step-mother. I know she will do a fantastic job. She always finds the freshest fruit and most interesting gourmet snacks for the basket. She even drives it over to my step-mothers house for me. It works out really well.
