Most of the dog books would suggest you a subtle but effective way of getting rid of these worms for pregnant dogs. Remember that the first thing you should do is to prevent worms. Make all attempts to prevent the infestation of your dog. If the infestation does not take place in the first place then there is no need for you to worry. So you should make sure that you don’t let your pregnant dog lick food from the ground or other unhygienic sources. These are some of the most common areas for getting infected. Try and always provide the dog with freshly made food. Apart from this you should also provide it with regular changing of water.  Try and avoid close interaction with other dogs because infection can also spread through licking. The next thing to remember is consult your vet so that he or she can devise a solution for the dog, if it has become infected with worms. Try and determine the day of conception so that you can work out the medicine for the dog. For the pregnant dog, de-worming should be given on the 40th day of her pregnancy, or some other date near to it.
